James Xavier Theut

James X. Theut is an Associate Attorney at Theut Scaringelli & Kupiszewski P.L.C. He attended Arizona State University and Chicago-Kent College of Law. While studying in Chicago, James interned for the Honorable Anthony Kyriakopoulos, Cook County Circuit Judge, and worked under noted criminal defense Professor Richard Kling.

James’ practice focuses on Trust and Estate Litigation, Estate and Trust Planning and Administration, and Protected Person matters. As an associate attorney, James has first-chaired favorable results in Estate and Trust Litigation. James has developed an estate planning practice, helping Arizona individuals and families in the creation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, durable and medical powers of attorney, and living wills. James has administered complex trusts and estates, representing both Successor Trustees and Personal Representatives in Maricopa County Superior Court. James has been recognized as a Rising Star by Southwest Super Lawyers.
