Jaime was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 12, 1974.
Upon graduation from high school, Jaime entered Baylor University. By taking as many as 24 course hours per semester (including summers) Jaime had enough course hours accumulated to apply to law school after a year and a half. He took the LSAT and in the middle of his second year and at the age of 19, Jaime was accepted into Baylor University School of Law. He was one of the youngest ever to be accepted into Baylor’s law program at that time. In February 1997, Jaime graduated from Baylor University School of Law with the degree of Juris Doctor. While getting ready to try his first lawsuit in mid 1997, a representative of the Baylor Undergraduate program called because they were made aware that Jaime had graduated from Law school without having ever obtained an undergraduate degree or even filed a degree plan. After the administration of the University met, they mailed Jaime a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in May 1997.
Jaime is currently a partner at Pena Aleczander where he focuses on commercial litigation and serves as general counsel for various companies. He is also a full faculty member at University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley Business School where he teaches business law to undergraduate and graduate students.
