Jacquelyn M. Codd
RAK Law Firm
Jacquelyn M. Codd, Esq., has been a Polk County native since she was 5 years old.
She started working in local law firms in 2010 and worked as a paralegal and law clerk throughout her time in undergrad and law school. She consistently focused on clerking in areas which could give her valuable contracts, collections, and construction law experience. She also ensured that she spent at least one year working in the area of consumer and collection defense so that she could learn the tricks of the trade and protect her future clients from falling into regulatory compliance traps during their collection actions.
Jacquelyn attended the University of Central Florida for her undergraduate education and received a Bachelors of Science in Legal Studies, but also had a strong pre-medical studies focus since she enjoys always learning new things. Jacquelyn attended Stetson University College of Law while also working full time as a Director of Human Resources for a business marketing firm and managing a large salesforce. From this experience she gained valuable business management insight and experience navigating the labor compliance field so that she can better relate to her clients, most of which are business owners. Jacquelyn graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2018.
Since her admission to the Bar, Jacquelyn has primarily practiced in the areas of contract drafting and disputes, construction, and collections. She also has experience in insurance litigation, real estate, and probate and estate planning. She believes law is best practiced through active listening and will always take the time to hear not only the nature of your dispute, but your personal goals for its resolution – even if they depart from the normal path.
Jacquelyn is a member of the Lakeland Bar Association and the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association.
