She was co-counsel in three jury trials that have gone to verdict and resolved numerous felony and misdemeanor cases. Previously, Attorney Mathews performed duties as a law clerk at for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. She was also a member of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Moot Court Team in 2011 and graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, cum laude, in 2012. At Weisenburger Law Offices, Attorney Mathews handles felony and misdemeanor Criminal cases as well as Family Law cases including divorce, custody, dissolution, child support and post decree matters. Prior to joining the Weisenburger Law Offices, Attorney Mathews spent a year practicing civil litigation in Cleveland, Ohio. During her year as a civil attorney, she handled a heavy caseload working in every aspect of litigation, including drafting and filing numerous motions, both with the Court of Common Pleas and the Court of Appeals, as well as reviewing discovery and attending mediation, depositions, and trials. She draws from this experience every day, especially in Family Law cases. During this time, Attorney Mathews would take on criminal cases, on her own, and eventually decided to make Criminal and Family Law her main focus. Attorney Mathews is currently an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Association for Justice.
