Jacqueline Greene
Jacqueline Greene joined Friedman & Gilbert in February 2014. Jacqueline’s civil rights practice focuses primarily on police and prison/jail misconduct, wrongful convictions and wrongful imprisonment, and other government misconduct.
Jacqueline also provides criminal defense representation in federal, state, and municipal criminal cases.
In addition, Jacqueline serves as Co-Coordinator for the Ohio Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. In this capacity, Jacqueline recruits and organizes pro bono criminal defense attorneys for political criminal cases in the Greater Cleveland area, defends protesters herself, and represents the NLG in civil litigation. Jacqueline also trains and organizes NLG Legal Observers (who observe law enforcement conduct at protests and demonstrations) in Northeast Ohio.
Jacqueline also serves as Vice President for the Ohio Innocence Project’s Northeast Ohio Board of Advocates, a group of practitioners and advocates who litigate, support, and educate the community about innocence and wrongful conviction cases in the state of Ohio.
Jacqueline is also a member of the National Police Accountability Project, a non-profit membership organization of plaintiff's lawyers, law students and legal workers dedicated to ending police abuse of authority through coordinated legal action, public education, and support for grassroots and victims' organizations combating police misconduct.
Jacqueline also serves as a director-at-large in the Federal Bar Association's Northern District of Ohio Chapter. Jacqueline has been engaged for many years in social justice activism and advocacy, including civil rights and criminal justice issues.
