Henry George Ferro
Ferro and Gourley, P.A.
I have been practicing law for more than 35 years, including a five year stint as a circuit judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
As an experienced litigator, in both state and federal court, I have aggressively represented clients at all levels of trial courts from criminal traffic matters to first degree murder charges. In the civil courts, I have represented clients in a range of cases involving contracts, business litigation, family matters, personal injury case, professional negligence matters (Medical Malpractice), defamation and cases involving fraud.
I have also had the pleasure of being the City Attorney for the Village of Biscayne Park, Florida, during the fiscal years of 1999-2001.
I am proudly serving as the Legal Counsel for the Marion County School Board Superintendent.

- Q. An individual that hired me to paint his house has filed a false report against me with local, state, fed. What can I d
- A: Hire a competent lawyer...and don't have any further communication with this man...Document everything regarding this matter.
- Q. My husband is being charged with attempt murder 2nd degree. It was a form of self defense. Will he have to serve time?
- A: From your account, he should not plead guilty to this case. A note of concern is his fleeing from the scene. If you are not happy with your lawyer, find one that will.
- Q. After an arrest, can the officer place you in the car with windows up and engine off while he finishes his investigation
- A: This is an interesting question and you are protected by the constitution against cruel and unusual punishment. Given your fact pattern, I don’t believe that the actions of the officer rise to that level, the intervention by the deputy was appropriate and kept the situation from the escalating to the point of it being actionable.
