Attorney Gustavo Magaña is a personal injury and civil rights attorney who was born in San Jose California and has been a Bay Area native his entire life.
After working for prominent firms in the Bay Area, Mr. Magaña decided to open the Law Office of Gustavo Magaña to provide better service to his community. Mr. Magaña’s unique background and experience allows him to provide his clients with distinctive representation and personal service.
Mr. Magaña attended Santa Clara University for both his undergraduate and law school education. Mr. Magaña graduated from Santa Clara undergraduate school with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and minored in Philosophy, Ethnic Studies, and Spanish. While in undergrad at Santa Clara, Mr. Magaña served as the Multicultural Center Director and spearheaded a program to increase Asian and Pacific Islander enrollment at the University from underprivileged communities. Additionally Mr. Magaña also interned with the immigration department at Catholic Charities in San Jose, assisting low-income clients with citizenship applications.
In Law school Mr. Magaña gained strong exposure to criminal courts by interning for the Honorable Judge Valencia in juvenile court. Additionally Mr. Magaña interned for the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s office as well as a private criminal defense firm.
Mr. Magaña is admitted into the California State Bar and has worked on a variety of different kinds of cases including criminal and civil trials, over 150 traffic court trials, excessive force police misconduct cases, and different felony and misdemeanor cases.
Mr. Magaña has also worked on many different types of personal injury cases including but not limited to from auto accidents, bicycle accidents, sexual harassment, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, work accidents, and more.
Mr. Magaña enjoys reading, martial arts, working out, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
