- Q. Can u landlord evict u for suing them over a dog attack they r liable for. Is there anything legally I can do to avoid
- A: Short answer is No. The relationship between you and your landlord are governed by both Florida Law and the terms of your lease. You may also have a claim against the landlord and the owner of the dog (if it is someone other than the landlord) that attacked you for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering.
- Q. I was clocked in at job and was directed to work at a sis property approx 30 miles away.in route was injured in car acci
- A: Given the limited facts you provided, you should claim work comp benefits. You may also have a liability claim against the at fault party. Under Florida Law, you have 30 days to provide notice to your employer. If your employer was aware of your accident and that your missed time from work for your surgery was due to the accident, you may also be able satisfy the notice requirement even if you did not specifically tell your employer yourself about the accident. You should consult with a lawyer that does both work comp and auto accidents to weigh your options.
- Q. Can I sue a daycare for negligence and personal injury?
- A: You should directly contact a lawyer to discuss your options. Speak with a lawyer and not simply an intake specialist. The daycare may be negligent and responsible for your child's past, present, and future medical expenses as well as pain and suffering. Moreover, there may be some medical expense coverage from the daycare's insurer that may pay for some of the medical expenses incurred while you pursue additional claims against the daycare.
