My highest recommendation for Glen Rabenn!
It is a great privilege to be able to give my highest and unqualified recommendation for Glen Rabenn! For all of us who end up working with Glen professionally, we come to him with a myriad of emotions after a marriage has ended; anger, sadness, depression,
confusion, loss, and perhaps, a fear of the legal system. I came with all-of-the-above, as I had been married for almost 35-years. Glen Rabenn is outstanding in his field and must be in the upper tier of the top 1% of Family Law attorneys! In representing his clients, he brings vast experience, intelligence, and a phenomenal understanding of the law, in preparing a clear plan going forward. But, for me personally, I also want to speak about his ability to sincerely understand the pain, loss, and confusion of this life-altering situation in which we find ourselves. These qualities build trust, which is essential in working through such personal issues.
Glen has been practicing Family Law for over 50-years, but he never makes you feel like your questions are silly, that your feelings are unfounded, that your confusion is tedious, or that your anxiety is annoying; it is just the opposite. He makes you feel like you are his only client, and he has the understanding to bring you through the entire process with reassurance and confidence. He took the ‘fear of the unknown' away and after every conversation I always felt more peaceful and reassured. Glen not only helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel, but he also actually patiently brought me through the tunnel.
After the divorce had been settled, my ex-husband, now living with a girlfriend and her two dogs, decided that he wanted to split the custody of our very old, and medically challenged dog. He filed legal papers with the threat that if I did not comply, he would seek full custody of our dog. I had no choice but to seek legal help. I was told by everyone that pet custody had to be evenly split, like all other possessions. But Glen was aware of a new January 1, 2019 provision for pets' rights, and our dog would be his first case in representing HER rights as our pet! In essence, the court was now empowered to make a ruling of sole or joint ownership, taking into consideration the "care" of the pet. Care included "food, water, veterinary care and a safe and protected shelter".
In making his legal argument, Glen considered our dog's advanced age, the temperamental challenges of her breed, and the vulnerabilities to her health. Fortunately, we were able to finally settle out of court and our dog is now able to spend most of her time in the security of her home in which she is most comfortable and happy. For those of you who consider a pet to be like a child, I would encourage you to take the legal steps that can empower a pet, without any voice, to be spared the trauma of changes to their environment during a divorce. Glen’s preparation was so thorough, convincing and complete, corroborated with statements and records from our vet, that we were able to amicably settle out of court, in our dog’s best interest. I remain the primary caregiver to this day. My only regret in this experience was in not hiring Glen from the beginning, when I was actually given his name with the highest recommendation! But in my desire to "save money", I really jeopardized my dog’s and my future.
When I finally came to him, I was "Humpty-Dumpty", in pieces! He not only put me back together financially, (correcting a previous significant error in my pension) but he also helped restore my confidence and gave me my power back. This was an intangible benefit that was the result of not only his vast legal knowledge and experience, but his heart for people. He not only brought "all the king's horses and all the king's men" to my legal rescue, but through his kindness and understanding...I got my confidence, my smile, and my laughter back into my life!
This man, Glen Rabenn, rescued me AND my dog! With sincere appreciation, DVG
