Q. Need a quote for a misdemeanor assault and family violence pending case
A: My fee for misdemeanor case in Bell County is $750 to work out a plea agreement. Trial fee is $3,000. Offer good until 12 noon Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Q. I was accused of theft and forgery. My accuser has passed away before court process has begun.. What should i do
A: Unless the prosecutor has another key witness, the case could be dismissed once the prosecutor is informed of death. I recommend you hire a lawyer.
Q. The police just called me and stated they wanted to talk to me and my 12 year old son about an assault.
A: Yes, you should take a lawyer or cancel the appointment. Whatever you or your son say to police will be use against him if charge or charges are filed. Polices don't talk to accused except to collect evidence of crime.
Q. Does a 13 year old need an attourney for misdemeanor assault charges.
A: Yes, if a petition has been filed in juvenile court, the child must be represented by an attorney.
Q. If someone has a blue warrant can they fly? Or will they be arrested ?
A: A Homeland Security check will probably deny any attempt to fly. You will be arrested if stopped by law enforcement. Not sure whether Homeland Security will make an arrest.
Q. on 2004 dismissed criminal case where attorney has retired can I get copies of case documents still in Austin Tx.
A: You should call, visit or go to Travis County District Clerk's website and request a copy of your dismissal order.
Q. Can I be arrested for knowing about a crime before it happened and I did not report it?
A: First, you should give no statement to any law enforcement officer without an attorney. You should not be charged unless you actively participated in the planning and assisted in some way.
Q. If warrant issued n diff co than the co it was served n is it 90days from arrest or once booked into co who issued
A: A person can be arrested anywhere the person is found.
