Traffic Violation
Ellis was incredibly helpful throughout the process. When I originally received my citation and saw that it came with points on my record I knew I needed help, but didn’t know where to go. I reached out to Ellis, and we had a nice and educational conversation that made me feel much more comfortable with my situation. On the date of court, Ellis briefly met with the officer and managed to get the case dismissed. I couldn’t imagine a more pain free experience. Thank you, Ellis!

Highly recommend, an exceptional Attorney!
Was coming home from work in the Pennsylvania area and live in New Jersey. On my home unfortunately, I received a citation for speeding in a school zone. Not knowing what to do I ended up receiving something in the mail from his office and decided to give him a call. He was very informative and helped me out so much!! He was able to bring my charge down to just a non moving violation with zero points that does not transfer. What also was great was he went to court for me!! I highly recommend!!

Biography

I am a former Senior Deputy District Attorney with personal experience in over 10,000 court cases, ranging from minor traffic offenses to homicide. In addition to criminal and traffic defense, I have been practicing Bankruptcy since 1999 and have helped thousands of clients get a Fresh Financial Start.
My practice is limited to Criminal, DUI, Traffic and Bankruptcy cases. I am NOT a general practitioner who handles many different types of law. Criminal and Bankruptcy law is the only law that I have practiced since I became a lawyer over 25 years ago.
Over the past 25+ years of practice I have worked with thousands of police officers and have appeared in court on countless occasions. Few attorneys possess my firm’s background and extensive experience in this area of the law.

CUSTOMER SERVICE - I treat clients the way I would want to be treated if I was experiencing legal problems – with honesty, kindness and respect. I do not tell clients what they want to hear just to get a case. I do not scare clients into retaining me. I will never say to a client “Don’t worry about it.” What I do is tell clients the truth, right over the phone. I call clients back, even at night or on weekends. Additionally, my staff is well-informed and very helpful if I am not in the office when you call.

FREE IN-DEPTH CONSULTATIONS - I gladly talk to new clients over the phone, for as long as you wish. I will answer every question that you have over the phone, or even in person if you prefer, for free. I will gladly explain all of your options, give you my honest opinion about what could happen to you and I even quote a fee and a flexible payment plan, right over the phone. I believe that an informed client is the best client. Again, if I was having legal problems, that is the way that I would want to be treated.

104 Questions Answered
Q. If a police officers says they will get the points lowered if you plead not guilty is a lawyered needed?
A: Here's your problem. At that speed a judge is going to be upset. Really upset. It is ultimately up to the judge even if the cop wants to help you out. If things go wrong you will likely lose your license, get a ton of points and your insurance can go up or they can drop your insurance totally. You need to get a lawyer. There are things you can do in advance to make the judge happy and if the judge is happy, you will be also.
Q. How soon does it take a traffic citation to show up on your driving record?
A: Once you are convicted the court sends notice to Penndot and then it appears on your record. It does however depend upon the citation because some moving violations will appear on your record while other non-moving violations will not. If you recently received a ticket you would be well served to contact an experienced traffic attorney because points can lead to increased insurance premiums and too many points can lead to suspension. Additionally, certain moving violations carry with an automatic license suspensions so I would suggest talking to a lawyer first. Good luck
Q. My son, in PA, was mailed a citation for “following too closely” & “reckless driving” and was never pulled over
A: Plead not guilty and get a lawyer. It is the most serious ticket in PA and carries with it 5 points plus an automatic 6 month license suspension. The police do not have to pull someone over to issue a citation if they believe they have the evidence to prove it.
