Q. How old does a child have to be to choose what parent they want to live with?
A: Children never get to choose which parent they live with. At age 12 their input is one of a dozen factors the court will consider.
Q. Can child support be dropped if court ordered?
A: We don't have "co-domiciliary" in LA. Your attoeney can now make the case that there is no hang in circumstances since the Judgment that no child support is due.
Q. Can I take my childs dad off child support without losing her medicaid?
A: Short answer, no. The state is paying for her medical care and wants to be reimbursed by the father.

A: As an adoptive parent, her rights are the same as yours.

A: Yes but it would be ill advised because the 16 year old is a minor and the 19 year old is an adult. There is criminal exposure.

A: Yes but unless there is a recording, which has probably "disappeared" it will be your word against the officer's.
Q. Is purse snatching a violent crime?
A: The law does not disriminate between being in her hand, on her shoulder, in a cart or on the front see of a car. But your attorney can make that defense.

A: If done through the state yes, just call your caseworker. If done privately, call your attorney
