I was raised in the Kansas City area and have lived in various places since then. In 2009, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Kansas, where I was also a Division I athlete on the university’s rowing team. I continued my education at the University of Oklahoma, obtaining a Master of Science in Geology in 2011. After my graduation, I worked for Noble Energy Inc. in Houston, Texas, for seven years. My role as a development geologist involved working on offshore oil fields in Israel, Equatorial Guinea, and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
My scientific background helped me secure the James A. Glasgow Scholarship when I attended the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in Tucson, Arizona. I graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2020. During my time in law school, I was a member and Managing Editor for the Arizona Law Review journal and published my note, "Academic Author Copyright Loss—Impacts and Remedies," in the journal’s Fall 2019 edition. I also earned a certificate in Intellectual Property and worked in the college’s Intellectual Property Clinic, where I provided legal aid in copyright, trademark, trade secret, and patent issues to the local community.
In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors with my husband, who is a geology professor at Idaho State University. We share a passion for examining rocks and appreciating the beauty of the Idaho landscape. When I am not working for my clients or spending time outside, I am engaged in home improvement projects at our new home.
