Eli T Marchbanks
I defend people from debt collectors in an effective way that is affordable.
For six years I've helped clients in the Pacific Northwest deal with debt collectors. While I can help clients who have any type of consumer debt whether it's credit card, utility bill, micro-loans, etc., I have particular expertise in defending medical bills. People often do not know that they have very specific and powerful rights when dealing with a collection agency. If you have been contacted by a debt collector I can likely help.
I was one of the founders of my firm, Navigate Law Group. A core value of our firm is to try to expand access to the justice system to as many people as possible. In that spirit, wherever we can, we utilize creative fee arrangements that are favorable to our clients. If we can pursue a case on a contingent fee arrangement (meaning we only get paid at the end if we win), we will. If we cannot, we often will allow clients dealing with debt collectors to pay a fixed monthly rate and cap our fee so the cost of litigation is always something our clients can afford. We always want a client to leave in a better financial situation than when they first walked in the door.
