My clients have had problems with debt collectors, credit reporting agencies, banks and other lenders, car dealers, etc. Since 2003, I have been a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) (www.naca.net), the leading organization of consumer advocates in the country.

I worked at Legal Aid in Charlottesville, Virginia, most of the years between 1977 and 1994. I served as a Staff Attorney (1977-79) and the Senior Staff Attorney (1984-87). From 1988 to 1994, I was the Executive Director. When I was not working at Legal Aid, I worked in private practice. I worked on cases involving the whole range of problems faced by Legal Aid clients, including public benefits, consumer rights, landlord/tenant and domestic relations.
