Eden J. Allyn
Eden J. Allyn is an ardent advocate for her clients. Practicing since 1996, Ms. Allyn has dedicated herself to helping her clients by staying abreast of the latest issues and developments in the law. She has furthered her education in the family law arena by earning a Certificate of Completion of the Family Law Certificate program through the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education, by obtaining a collaborative law certificate and by training and working as a domestic family law mediator and attorney.
Ms. Allyn has zealously represented clients in all levels of courts in Michigan, including appellate actions at the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court. She volunteers her services as a mediator with the Wayne County Family Court, offering aid to those in need. As previously stated, Ms. Allyn holds a Certificate of Completion in the area of Family Law issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
In addition to working with families in domestic matters, she also works with individuals and businesses in real estate matters, especially those involving financial matters. Ms. Allyn began her career in the banking industry. She later entered the mortgage industry, and this cumulative experience gave her a depth of knowledge in finance, asset protection, mortgage foreclosure and property investment. In 1990, she obtained her real estate license, which provides her with invaluable perspective. Ms. Allyn is able to understand how each side of a real estate transaction works and can explain to her clients how and why things happen as they do so that they can make informed decisions. Her experience lets her anticipate concerns that may develop and solve them before they become more difficult problems.
Prior to founding Allyn Smith Law Group, PC, with Ms. Smith, Ms. Allyn had been a solo practitioner since 2002, heading up her own solo firm, Law Offices of Eden J. Allyn. She also worked as corporate counsel for Sterling Mortgage & Investment Co., and as a staff attorney with Luna Entertainment.
Ms. Allyn's legal background offers a breadth of knowledge which enhances her ability to represent all of her clients – whether their issues entail family law, bankruptcy or real estate concerns . She is able to draw upon her years of experience when aiding clients by looking at the complete situation. She can see how a client's issue may affect every other aspect of their lives. Whatever the client's issue may be, Ms. Allyn is adept at exploring the practical solutions which may help bring about resolution sooner.
Ms. Allyn studied English Literature and earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan. She attended Michigan State University, Detroit College of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 1996. While working toward her J.D., Ms. Allyn was awarded honors for her work on the Moot Court Team from 1994 through 1996.
Ms. Allyn is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, The Oakland County Bar Association, the Wayne County Family Bar Association and the Women's Lawyer Association, and the Consumer Bankruptcy Association.
