Douglas McCray
Turning Insurance Denials into Payments for 22 Years
Doug McCray has over 22 years of insurance litigation experience. He has turned hundreds of denials and ignored claims into millions of dollars for his clients. Several of his victories have resulted in important opinions by Michigan courts, including:
McNeel v. Farm Bureau (regarding "lack of occupancy" and vacancy coverage defenses);
Johnson v. State Farm (regarding the limitation period); and
Smith v. State Farm (regarding to a policyholder's right to have the amount and scope of his or her loss decided by a neutral appraisal panel, rather than the insurance company).
Since 2012, he has run McCray Law Office. Unlike many firms, McCray Law Office exclusively represents property owners – never insurance companies – by fighting for their rights at every stage of the claims process. If you're concerned about your insurance claim, you can reach him at 734-648-8030.
