Donna Medina became Of Counsel to the firm in June 2008, with 17 years general practice experience as a partner of the late Lawrence Rattner. Ms. Medina’s practice has focused on litigation including personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice and general tort claims, family law, probate estate administration and civil and criminal appeals. Her accounting background enabled her to lend expert start-up advice to many small retail and service businesses. At Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett, Ms. Medina has continued to handle a variety of legal claims and broaden her practice to include business and commercial litigation. Ms. Medina worked as a paralegal for 20 years prior to entering undergraduate school and continued full time work while attending Wayne State University evenings and weekends. The American Society of Woman Accountants recognized Ms. Medina’s scholastic achievement by awarding her both its First Place Michigan and National Scholarship awards in 1985; she is also a member of Kappa Gamma Sigma and National Golden Key Honor Societies. Donna’s interests include domestic violence prevention and drug and alcohol rehabilitation. She has worked as a volunteer attorney at Turning Point domestic violence shelter in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, served many years on the Board of Directors of Project Rehab, Grand Rapids and Community Treatment Centers-Detroit. She is a member of the Family Law and Litigation Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association, Woman Lawyers Association of Michigan, Wayne State University Alumni Association, Women of Wayne, ION Strategic Partners.
