Deborah R Stagner

Deborah Stagner is originally from Missouri and received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Kansas in 1992. Ms. Stagner attended the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was a published staff member of the North Carolina Law Review and earned her J.D. with honors in 1997.
Prior to joining Tharrington Smith, Ms. Stagner served for three years as a law clerk to Chief Justice Henry E. Frye of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Ms. Stagner has been licensed to practice law in North Carolina since 1997 and is admitted to practice before all federal courts in North Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Stagner’s practice includes education law, litigation and appeals. She is a member of the Education Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Council of School Attorneys, and the National Council of School Attorneys.
Ms. Stagner is a public school board lawyer.
