Mr. Kerner is a Civil Trial Attorney for the firm. He was born and raised in Palm Beach County and attended Suncoast Community High School. Prior to his graduation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Mr. Kerner obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Florida College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and was elected a member of the Florida Blue Key. Mr. Kerner also served as a police officer for the City of Alachua, where he earned the "Police Officer of the Year Award"; the youngest officer to do so in the department's history. In law school, Mr. Kerner was elected the Student Body Vice-President (Law College Council), was the principal author of the current student body constitution, and was eventually appointed Chief Justice of the University of Florida Supreme Court; the highest judicial office that can be held by a student within the 50,000 person student body. Mr. Kerner was recently one of six private civil litigators to be selected by State Attorney Michael McAuliffe to serve Palm Beach County as a Special Assistant State Attorney. Mr Kerner will focus his practice in all phases of civil litigation for serious motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death cases, and class action prosecutions.
