David J. Rashid
David J. Rashid joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, P.C. in 2023, where he concentrates his legal practice on cases concerning personal injury, medical negligence, wrongful death, and catastrophic injuries. He has been involved in medical malpractice cases focused on misdiagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, emergency room errors, and stroke.
In his first trial with the firm, Mr. Rashid obtained a $32.7 million jury verdict on behalf of a man who had to undergo a foot amputation due to a delayed diagnosis of a blood clot.
Prior to joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, P.C., Mr. Rashid worked at a well-known Chicago personal injury law firm where he secured more than $130 million in verdicts and settlements for his deserving clients. A native of Peoria, Illinois, Mr. Rashid has obtained successful results for clients throughout the state. He holds records for medical malpractice verdicts/settlements in Cook County, Richland County, and Crawford County.
In 2010, Mr. Rashid completed his judicial clerkship with the Office of the Chief Prosecutor for the U.S. Office of Military Commissions.
Mr. Rashid’s peers have recognized him as a Super Lawyer's ‘Rising Star’ from 2017 through 2021 and an Illinois Super Lawyer every year since 2022. In 2023, Mr. Rashid was named one of Law Bulletin Media’s “Forty Lawyers Under 40 to Watch in the State of Illinois.” In 2019, Mr. Rashid was honored as one of the National Trial Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40.” In 2016, Law Bulletin Media honored Mr. Rashid with a Trial Lawyer Excellence Award for his role in a record-setting verdict in Cook County.
