Daniel has over twelve years’ experience in dispute resolution, administrative and contentious-administrative proceedings and arbitration against administrative acts and contracts arising from Public Administration. Daniel has extensive experience in projects and disputes related to Public Procurement and Strategic Sectors, advising and exercising legal representation of domestic and foreign companies in lawsuits against the state and its institutions, as well as in civil litigation. He was invited by the State Attorney General to work in the public sector as his direct advisor in the AG’s Office on matters of Administrative Law and contentious-administrative litigation for several years, as well as in the Office of the Deputy Minister of Government. He has participated several times as a consultant and contributor to the World Bank and the UNDP on issues of Administrative Law, Public Procurement, and Public-Private Partnerships. He was part of the roundtable discussions and review of the Draft Code of Knowledge (Ingenuities), the Administrative Organic Code, and the Entrepreneurship and Bankruptcy Act in Ecuador. Daniel is graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador Law School and has a Master’s Degree in Public Procurement Law from the Universidad de Castilla – La Mancha, Spain, as well as a postgraduate degree in Administrative Law from the Universidad Simon Bolivar. In 2017 he obtained an Advanced Diploma in Litigation Skills Trial Advocacy Program – Washington College of Law – American University.
