I was born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii. My mother was a small business owner dabbling in fashion. Both my father and step-father are and have been entrepreneurs, business owners, real estate agents, brokers, and developers, and both have grown to be among the most prominent in their field in Hawaii. It is through my family that I have developed my strong entrepreneurial spirit.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Hawaii, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following my undergraduate education, I spent two years in the real estate and life insurance industries before obtaining my law degree at the Pepperdine University School of Law, where I earned certificates in the internationally top-ranked Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and the Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law.
My law practice is focused on business, corporate, and cannabis licensing transactions. I have handled a range of business and corporate matters, including business formations, secured and unsecured loan transactions, asset purchases and sales, shareholder agreements and ownership transfers, cannabis investment transactions, cannabis license applications, and more. I have also advised businesses and executives on compliance with labor laws, as well as employee compensation matters, including employee stock options, phantom stock programs, restricted stock programs, and other equity and equity-linked compensation programs. I co-founded this law firm to partner with individuals and companies like you and yours. I will do what I can to ensure your business reaches its full potential.
