Corene C Ford
Corene C. Ford has practiced law in Michigan since 2003, specializing in litigating a wide variety of civil matters including in the areas of condominium and HOA, real estate law, business law, landlord tenant, contract disputes, collections, landlord tenant, as well as personal injury cases. Corene is also a certified court appointed mediator. She has successfully mediated dozens of cases ranging from simple real estate disputes to complex commercial matters.
After graduating with a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University in 1999, Corene attended Vermont Law School from which she received a JD and Master of Studies in Environmental Law, cum laude, in 2003. At Vermont Law School she was invited to join the Law Review and served as a Notes Editor on the Vermont Law Review from 2001 to 2003.
Corene has served as an adjunct professor at Oakland University in the Management and Marketing Department where she taught a course on the Legal Environment of Business. She is a member of the The Oakland County Bar Association. Corene is licensed to practice in the Michigan State Courts, United States District Court, E.D. Michigan (2005-present), and United States District Court, W.D. Michigan (2005-present). She is a member of the Business Executive Network of Business Networking International, as well as a volunteer mediator at the Oakland Mediation Center.
Corene was born and raised in Farmington Hills. She moved away from the area to attend college and law school and moved back to Farmington in 2003. She is grateful to be able to live and work in the community she loves so much and to be able to assist the residents and businesses of Farmington and its surrounding areas through their legal challenges. In her free time, Corene enjoys performing and teaching improv comedy, traveling, attending live theater, and spending time with her family and her dogs.
