B.A. (2008) | Political Science
While in undergrad I was a research assistant to Professor David C.W. Parker which resulted in the creation of the most comprehensive database ever built on the Base Realignment and Closure Commissions (BRAC). It also resulted in the co-authorship and presentation of a paper on BRAC at the 2007 Midwest Political Science Association annual meeting in Chicago. Additionally, I spent a summer studying the institutions of the European Union in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. I also spent my last fall semester and summer session studying at the Bloomington campus.

Herbert Presidential Scholarship (F/K/A the Hoosier Presidential Scholarship)
Indiana University
Indiana University’s Adam W. Herbert Presidential Scholars Program offers Indiana’s top high school graduates four-year renewable scholarships to attend any of IU’s eight campuses throughout the state. The Lilly Endowment is funding this program to support its vision to recruit and retain intellectual capital in Indiana. Currently up to 40 incoming Indiana University freshmen are designated Herbert Presidential Scholars each year. I was in the inaugural class which included 32 members. I was the sole member chosen for attendance at the South Bend campus of Indiana University. The scholarship was transferrable across IU campuses and supported my studies abroad, undergraduate studies at both South Bend and Bloomington, and, because I completed my four-year degree in only three years, it also supported a portion of my law school studies in Indianapolis.
Chancellor's Merit Award
