: Current; Toray Industries Inc. Department of Justice Investigation of Toray Industries, Inc. Successfully defended Toray in a six year criminal investigation by the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice into possible price fixing and market allocation in the markets for carbon fiber and carbon fiber "prepreg," as well as related class action, opt-out federal lawsuits and indirect purchaser class action lawsuits under state laws. The investigation concluded without any criminal indictment of our client. The firm is currently defending Toray in a qui tam (False Claims Act) litigation involving multiple defendants and multiple Government contracts. more

: Current; Investigation - Carbon Fiber Producers Represented carbon fiber producers in extensive DOJ investigation, including grand jury hearings and document production, which ended in termination of criminal antitrust proceedings.

: Current; Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc. Mopex v. Chicago Stock Exchange Successful settlement of federal court case involving allegations of infringement of a financial instrument patent.
