I rated Chris as a ten strictly because of his experience. He has worked on both sides of criminal law. As a prosecutor, he understood the ins and outs of the office as well as how it sees cases. He understood how the office treated cases and because of that, when he began defense work, he understood how to represent his clients. He has good relations with the prosecutors and because of that, they treat him with respect as well. View More

We went to law school together and then eventually worked at MCAO together for a couple of years.

While we worked for MCAO together we regularly staffed cases with one another. Eventually I found myself as opposing counsel when I joined the PD's office. in both instances Chris' work product and knowledge was excellent.

I worked with Chris from roughly 2018 - 2022.
Q. Was this lawyer an effective advocate/counselor and why?
Yes

While we were on the same side, Chris continued to be a font of knowledge. He regularly helped me as well as other attorneys in the office see things from multiple different angles and assisted me with preparing cases. When we were on opposite sides, he continued to have a wealth of knowledge and while we were opposing counsel, he continued to be very professional and easy to work with.

While we were working together, many of the attorneys in the office including myself, staffed cases with Chris due to his in depth knowledge and ability to see cases from all angles.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

Chris' ability to view a case from all angles and plot out avenues of argument was uncanny. He was not only knowledge about the law, but also knew how and when it was applicable.

Communication Skills: Excellent

Even when I found myself as opposing counsel, Chris maintained his professionalism and affability. Unlike other prosecutors, he was easy to work with.

Ethics and Professionalism: Excellent

As a prosecutor, Chris never over charged cases and was willing to listen to defense attorneys regardless of the circumstances. He was open to negotiations and because of that, his cases resolved much smoother. Now that he is on Defense, he has continued to advocate for ethical charging and has zealously defended his clients when the prosecutors overstep.
