Charles M. "Larry" Samuel III
I received my B.A. from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky in 1971, and my Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1977. I am currently a partner in the law firm of Rittenberg, Samuel & Phillips, LLC, in New Orleans, Louisiana. I maintain a general law practice, with emphasis in education law, labor law, and family law. Since beginning in private practice in 1977, I have represented the United Teachers of New Orleans, Jefferson Federation of Teachers, and the Louisiana Federation of Teachers, and numerous local affiliates in Louisiana affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers. I have served on the American Federation of Teachers Lawyers Conference Planning Committee since the mid-1980s, and taught as a part-time graduate school instructor of Education Law at Xavier University of Louisiana, 1981-1989.
