Caroline Bundy is an attorney with Hale Robinson & Robinson, LLC’s domestic litigation team. After she graduated from Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law, she returned to Missouri to begin her legal career. Despite living in Kansas City for a short while, she has fostered strong connections within the community.

Q. I filed paternity in Missouri where child was born. Will mother of child be served in Louisiana, where she lives?
A: She can be, yes, so long as you specify her address
Q. Do I have to file another paternity petition in the state girlfriend moved to? I Filed in Missouri where child was born.
A: No, you file it in one state. Was the child born/conceived in Missouri? If so, that would be the appropriate state for a paternity action.
Q. I'm in the process of filing for paternity. What happens if girlfriend leaves state before she can be served? Missouri.
A: You can get her served in another state.
