Carlos takes the time to listen to his client and acts as a fierce but compassionate advocate for their needs. He also offers this same courtesy to attorneys on the other side of the case, as he realizes that working with the other side as opposed to against them is often the best way to bring even the messiest cases to a close. Carlos's devotion to his clients is clearly evident in the lengths he will go - sometimes literally - to ensure that his client's interests are protected.

One of Carlos's greatest strengths as an attorney is his knowledge of the law, from local court rules and standing orders to complicated statutory requirements and provisions within his field of practice. He's not afraid to take the time needed to familiarize himself with new or changing areas of law. More than once, his knowledge of the laws and statutes within his field have made the difference and lead to a favorable outcome in his cases.

Legal Analysis: Excellent

Carlos's knowledge of the law and attention to the details of the case enable him to see all the angles of a case. Rather than rushing into a decision on how to proceed, Carlos will carefully weigh all options and balance them against the needs and desires of his clients before offering his final recommendations.

Communication Skills: Excellent

Regardless of background, age, gender, or other factors, Carlos "gets" his clients. He is patient, empathetic, and really listens to their concerns, needs, issues, and problems. He also has the innate ability to explain complicated legal issues in a way that any client can understand. Carlos is also honest with his clients, refusing to sugarcoat bad news simply to make someone feel better - they may not always like what they hear, but they will always know where they stand.
