She worked as an attorney for Chairman William Thompson and then as a District Hearing Officer for the Industrial Commissions of Ohio. After working as, a District Hearing Officer, she realized that she missed fighting for injured workers’ rights. Watching her business grow, the real satisfaction is knowing that she is making a difference in each and every client. Carla is a wife and is a mother to one son. In her spare time Carla enjoys getting involved with different charities, is a small group leader and kid’s ministry teacher at her church in Columbus, Ohio.

We will briefly discuss the entire workers’ compensation system in Ohio from the injury allowance to medical and compensatory benefits to the claims processing structure at the MCO/ADR level, Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Industrial Commission of Ohio, and further litigation in the Ohio courts will be discussed. Necessary filing forms will be distributed and examined. Mock hearing process will be executed with participation by the new lawyer attendees. Generating workers’ compensation clients and how to manage their claims will also be discussed.
