Brian Michael McDonough
Department of JusticeBrian McDonough is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio in the Criminal Division’s White Collar Crimes Unit. He supervises investigations and prosecutes a variety of complex financial crimes including bank fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, securities fraud, investment fraud, health care fraud, identity theft, tax, civil rights, and public corruption. He also serves as the Elder Justice Coordinator for the Northern District of Ohio and works with federal, state, and local law enforcement and community partners to combat elder fraud and abuse. Brian graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received his law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

- Carol Skutnik and Brian McDonough are honored for their work prosecuting U.S. v. Rydze, et al., in which six people were convicted of charges involving health care fraud, drug trafficking, and money laundering offenses. One of those defendants was Dr. Richard Rydze, a prominent doctor in the Pittsburgh area who, among other duties, served as team physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The trial lasted five months.
