Brandon Jones
Southern Poverty Law Center Action Fund
Brandon is the Mississippi Policy Director for the Southern Poverty Law Center. Prior to joining the SPLC, he was a partner at the Baria-Jones law firm. In addition to his work at the SPLC, Brandon is a political analyst for Mississippi Public Broadcasting.
Brandon is a former member of the House of Representatives where he served Jackson County from 2008 to 2012.
Brandon currently serves on the Board of Visitors for the Wake Forest University Divinity School and as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Brandon is a former member of the Mississippi Board of Bar Commissioners, the former chairman of the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence and former member of the Board for the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Brandon is a graduate of Mississippi College, Wake Forest University and Mercer University. He and his wife, Laurie, live in Madison with their three children, Ellen, Gray and Wes.
