Biography

I am deeply committed to the practice of law. I founded Shuttleworth Law P.C. and have taken on numerous roles within the legal community over the years.

For the past 20 years, I have been assisting clients across the nation, with a focus on the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas. My dedication to improving the law and the legal profession is demonstrated through my active participation in the Philadelphia Bar Association. During my time there, I contributed as a member of the Board of Governors, the Criminal Justice Section, and the Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention.

I graduated from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University, which many refer to simply as Temple Law. I have also had the privilege of teaching the next generation of lawyers at Temple Law as an adjunct professor, where I taught legal research and writing as well as professional responsibility.

Since 2017, I have been recognized annually as a SuperLawyer by the Pennsylvania Super Lawyer's Magazine, following eight consecutive years of being named a Rising Star.

Outside of my legal pursuits, I have a passion for motorcycles, dogs, and swimming.

1 Questions Answered
Q. Is a search warrant that is not hand signed by a judge but rather has a judges named typed in the signature space valid?
A: It's understandable why someone would question the validity of a search warrant without a judge's hand-drawn signature. However, search warrants now often only contain the typed name of the judge who issued the warrant because law enforcement officers are permitted to apply for a search warrant electronically and judges sign electronically. New Jersey Court Rule 3:5-3 permits law enforcement officers to apply for search warrants electronically through the New Jersey judiciary's computerized system for search warrant applications. A judge's signature may only appear to be typed in these circumstances. If there's a genuine question whether a warrant was actually issued by a judge, your lawyer can investigate the warrant's issuance by seeking a record of its issuance by the judge from the judiciary. ...
