Benjamin Dorian Brodish
I focus my legal practice in the areas of personal injury and civil litigation. Too often the justice system is stacked against the people who need justice the most, and I believe the law is a tool that can be used to level the playing field for ordinary people. To support those who need it the most, I chose to practice law and stand behind those who need support in our legal system.
Raised in Franklin County, North Carolina, I obtained my undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University, where I graduated with a degree in political science. During this time, I became fascinated with the areas in which law, government, and society clash. While at NC State, I received a research grant to study the racially disparate effects of the War on Drugs. In my research, I examined the ways in which the law was used to unfairly prosecute people on the basis of race.
Driven by my interest in the law and my desire to pursue a profession where I could enact change, I obtained my law degree at Campbell University School of Law. At Campbell, I served as the Chief Justice of the Honor Court and directed the Peer Mentor Program. While obtaining my law degree, I worked for the Wake County Public Defender’s Office, Chief Judge Stephani Humrickhouse of the United States Bankruptcy Court, EDNC, and the Office of the Federal Public Defender, EDNC.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling the Appalachian Mountains with my wife, grilling out in the backyard with my family and friends, and reading books on science and history.
