After working for more than six years at a large law firm in Fort Worth & Dallas, I opened my own law practice in Waco, Texas: McDermed Law Firm. I started my practice based on the principle that the most important aspect of a law practice is our client. Therefore, at McDermed Law Firm, I strive to change the negative perception that most people have regarding criminal defense attorneys. To that end, I do all I can to ensure that every client who walks in our doors receives an accessible, attentive, responsive, & compassionate lawyer & legal team. My law practice is not the stereotypical law office that most people expect to find &, as a result, usually dread contacting. Rather, we go above & beyond for our clients to help them get through often difficult times & make the whole legal process as stress-free as possible. To further this goal, we provide & offer: 1) Flexible payment options that are tailored to the client's specific situation. 2) Flexible times & days for consultations--We will meet with a potential client at 9:00pm or on a Sunday if needed. 3) Flexible consultations--We can do consultations completely over the phone, via video conference, or online. 4) Flexible locations for meetings--If a client has car trouble or childcare issues, we are happy to meet with him/her at their house. 5) Accessibile legal team--We provide our clients with direct access to his/her legal team seven days a week. Clients can communicate with their attorney & legal team via phone, email, text, or online chat. Basically, we go by the Golden Rule--Do unto others as you would have done to you. I treat our clients how I would want my attorney to treat me.
