Anita's practice focuses on developing, analyzing, and managing patent portfolios for the biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries.She has performed numerous due diligence evaluations and rendered patentability, patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-use opinions. Anita has prepared and prosecuted patent applications for foreign and domestic clients in diverse areas of technology, including molecular biology, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, biochemistry, immunology, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and chemical arts. Her clients include biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies, and academic institutions.During law school, Anita worked as a patent examiner gaining valuable exposure to the inner workings of the U.S. Patent Trademark Office. She uses this insight to help clients negotiate successfully with the patent office and obtain commercially significant patent protection. Anita also worked as a law clerk in Commissioner Lehman's office, where she acquired unique experience with the administrative rule-making process, the legislative process, and various patent policy issues.
