Biography

Andrew is a Central Illinois native. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012 and his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in May 2015. Andrew’s previous professional experience includes having worked for state judges, private practice attorneys, and the fourth-ranking member of the U.S. Congress. While in law school, Andrew served as Articles Editor on the Journal of College and University Law, was a member of the Federalist Society, and participated in the Notre Dame Bengal Bouts, a men’s boxing tournament that raises money for the Holy Cross Missions in Bangladesh. Andrew also often helped the faculty with academic projects, including aiding a professor file an amicus curiae (friend of the court) brief in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals on the collectability of sanctioned Iranian assets for damages awarded to families of victims of terrorist attacks. In addition to Andrew’s professional experience and law school involvement, he is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). The CIPP is a certification offered by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Per the IAPP, “the CIPP is the global standard in privacy certification. The CIPP demonstrates a strong foundation in U.S. private-sector privacy laws and regulations and understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal data in the United States, EU and other jurisdictions.” Andrew’s favorite part of being a lawyer is having the opportunity to help people in the community where he grew up. When he’s not at the office, you can find Andrew fishing, golfing, or hanging out with his two dogs, Benny and Rudy.
