Summary

The person who handles your immigration case provides a important service that will impact your future in this country. There are many people who say they can fix your papers - but they often do not know what they are doing. Notorios advertise themselves as Immigration Attorneys, but they are not. They have no education or training in immigration. USCIS and ICE will not even allow them in a government building. You must be careful when choosing an Immigration Attorney. Anyone can pass the bar, become an attorney, and one day say “I do immigration,” but that does not mean they have knowledge, training, or experience. If an attorney handles personal injury and immigration, they probably know little about either - the two areas have nothing in common. An attorney who specializes in everything specializes in nothing. I studied law at Santa Clara University, an accredited, nationally ranked law school. While there I volunteered at a free immigration clinic in San Jose. I trained for three years in San Francisco with an immigration attorney who has over 30 years of experience. He trained me on court procedure and interview techniques and how to prepare clients for tough questions. I moved to downtown Los Angeles where I worked for a large immigration law firm. When I came to Chico I handled criminal defense cases for a busy law firm while starting my immigration law firm. Criminal issues can have a serious affect on an immigration case and both involve defending someone charged with a crime by the government. I have helped thousands at my free immigration clinics at dozens of churches and high schools. I have partnered with many non-profit organizations to help people for free, and I provide many services without a fee. Ask your friends or family about me - chances are I already helped them. There is no one in the Northern California Central Valley that has the training or experience in immigration that I do.
