Alexander Krown Spellman

Alex is a Senior Associate Attorney at Blackstone Law. Alex is an active member of the legal community as it relates to employees’ rights. Alex is a member of the California Employment Lawyers’ Association (CELA), and is on the committee for the Mentor Committee, the Women’s Committee, the Legislative Committee, the Wage and Hour Committee, and the New Member Committee, as well as a recent admit to the 2024 – 2025 CELA Leadership Conservatory.
Alex has significant experience providing the best counsel for his clients, whether through trial, or through multimillion dollar settlements, or through whatever need the client may describe. Although getting the best possible result for the client is of ultimate importance, Alex places a premium on maintaining regular communication and counsel to the client through the litigation process, so each client is comfortable and aware while being taken through an experience that is new to them.
Alex became an attorney in 2007 and was originally a bankruptcy attorney, but studied traditional labor and employment in law school, and dedicated his practice to Plaintiff’s side employment law in 2016 per his original goals for being an attorney. Alex has always recognized that what a person does for a living is not only an important part of many people’s identity and sense of self-confidence but is also where people spend much of their time; thus, it is important that people be treated fairly at work.
Alex has significant history in individual matters including wrongful termination actions, sexual harassment cases, and the like. Over the last few years, Alex’s focus has shifted to class and PAGA representative actions based on wage and hour violations. Alex holds a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from University of California, Los Angeles.
