Alexander Edward Sklavos
Alexander E. Sklavos is a senior partner with an extensive legal background. He holds admission to the New York State Bar, the Washington DC Bar, and the United States Federal Courts. Mr. Sklavos earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Union College and his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, where he received academic honors and was honored with the Clinician of the Year award for his dedicated work with disadvantaged senior citizens.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Sklavos served as a clerk to Justice Thomas Demakos of the New York State Supreme Court. He also contributed to the field of education as an adjunct professor at Touro College, where he instructed students in Business Law and Real Estate matters.
Currently, he is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association, where he previously served on the Board of Directors. In addition to his legal pursuits, Mr. Sklavos held significant positions in the political arena, having served as the Democratic Town Leader for the Town of Oyster Bay and as a Vice Chair of the Nassau County Democratic Committee.
Mr. Sklavos’ dedication to pro bono work in Nassau County has garnered numerous awards, reflecting his commitment to community service. He maintains active involvement with various Bar Associations, political organizations, and community-building efforts, all of which contribute to his ability to provide exceptional service to the firm’s clients.
In terms of legal concentration, Mr. Sklavos specializes in several areas, including Matrimonial and Family Law, Real Estate Litigation, General Litigation, Real Estate matters, Landlord and Tenant Law (both Commercial and Residential), HUD Housing and evictions, as well as Guardianships and Estate Planning.
