OKC, Tulsa, Bentonville, Joplin - One Law Firm, Three States
I am a trial lawyer. I represent individuals in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. My work involves high-stakes family law and civil cases that often include allegations of criminal misconduct.
I work with my clients to resolve important matters privately and by agreement when possible. When the other side is unreasonable or will not agree, I have the training and trial experience to provide skilled advocacy and representation in court for my clients. I am board-certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a family law trial lawyer. I am a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers.
My process for legal work is goal-oriented: to obtain the best result possible for each client in any given situation. I focus on providing the highest level of customer service while seeking the best outcome possible. I am committed to industry-leading best practices, so I spend much of every year training in various settings alongside the finest accountants, psychologists, financial advisers, and lawyers worldwide. My case preparation, negotiation, and trial work methods are objectively supported by skills training and cutting-edge psychological research. In 2021, I completed a year-long certificate program at SMU for financial planning, covering taxation, investments, insurance, retirement, and estate planning courses, all to better my knowledge and hone my skills for advising and representing people about their life's work and savings.

- Q. Right now I'm depending on my wife for income basically everything and she always threatens to leave me s
- A: There are many factors that could impact your claim for spousal support in the event of separation or a divorce. Each spouse's earning capacity will be one factor. Another factor will be the length of the marriage. Support claims are fluid and fact-sensitive, so you would benefit from a private consultation with an experienced divorce lawyer who can discuss your situation with you in more detail.
- Q. My visits and phone calls are being used to get money from me
- A: Unfortunately, scenarios like the one you describe still occur. That is precisely what family law courts are for. If you are the other parent, you are able to take action to ask a judge to address her conduct and even possibly change custody. Your children's statements about what happen when they are in her care may be Hearsay, but there are ways to get their statements to the judge. You may ask for the judge to appoint a Guardian Ad Litem to interview the children and investigate their home life with each parent. You may ask for the judge to order that the minor children begin seeing a qualified therapist who may also report concerns based on what the children may disclose. All of this ... Read More
- Q. I am being kept away from my grandchildren by their parents. Is this legal?

A grandparent seeking visitation rights must overcome a number of hurdles, including showing parental unfitness or that the child in question would suffer harm or potential harm without the requested grandparent visitation. On top of that, grandparent must also show that the intact nuclear family of the child has been disrupted in some way such as by divorce or death of the grandparent's child who is the child's parent. The grandparent most prove that they had a preexisting relationship with the minor child that pre-dated the disruption of the nuclear ... Read More
