Family patriarch Jesse Lewis Halpern founded the law firm in 1966. He is a graduate of the Southwestern Law School.  The elder Mr. Halpern encourages other lawyers to be compassionate and aggressive litigators, and to trust their instincts. His sons are both attorneys at the firm, following in their father's footsteps. Derryl Halpern graduated first in his class from the University of West Los Angeles Law School where he was Editor in Chief of the Law Review. A cycling enthusiast, he earned a bronze medal in the 1986 U.S. Olympic Festival before attending law school. Loren Halpern is also a graduate of the University of West Los Angeles Law School, and is active in the community coaching his children’s soccer, baseball, and softball teams.
