Prior to entering a career in plaintiff's law, David had an externship with the Honorable Judge Kerry Early, Eighth Judicial District Court for the District of Nevada. He was responsible for writing bench memos, and researching case law. David also was a Student Mediator at Thomas and Mack Legal Clinic, where he studied mediation theory and practice and mediated cases weekly at the Neighborhood Justice Center and Family Court.
