Richard W. Jones graduated with his B.A. degree from BYU in 1979. He continued on to receive his J.D. Law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU in 1982. He began his career as an attorney in Ogden, Utah working for the law firm now called Helgesen, Houtz & Jones. Mr. Jones has specialized his practice around real estate law. I was born in Andalusia, Alabama, and graduated from Andalusia High School. I graduated from Mira Costa College in Oceanside, California, University of Alabama and Jones School of Law. I served as Staff Attorney for Alabama Supreme Court Justices, A. Hugh Maddox (1987-1989), Richard L. Jones (1989-1990), and Kenneth F. Ingram (1990-1991). I have been the Municipal Judge in Florala, Alabama since 1996. I am also the Public Defender for the Andalusia Municipal Court. I am a member of the Covington County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association and the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association.
