Ben grew up in Portland, Maine, attended public schools and graduated from Deering High School in 1989. Ben attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and earned his law degree from the Yale Law School. Ben began his career in private practice at a large, multi-national law firm, Latham & Watkins, in New York City. He practiced there for several years before deciding to return to Maine to join Maine’s largest plaintiff’s law firm. In 2021, Ben left that firm and formed Gideon Asen LLC. Gideon Caron was born in London England. His family immigrated to Portland when he was a young child and he has lived in the Northwest since. He attended Oregon State University and Northwest School of Law of Lewis and Clark College. He has practiced in Vancouver since 1989, emphasizing civil litigation, including personal injury, car crashes, trip and fall, dog bites, sexual harassment, product liability, real estate and probate disputes. Mr. Caron has been involved in many significant settlements and verdicts, defending them both at trial and appeal.

When I’m out of the office I enjoy time with my wife, son, daughter, and dog, particularly outdoors, time with my family and friends, adventuring, fly fishing travel, fly fishing, travel, reading, snowboarding, golf, tinkering with motorcycles, riding my bike, and building things.
