Washington and Lee University School of Law is located in Lexington, Virginia - just three hours southwest of the nation's capitol and a forty-five minute drive to Roanaoke, Virginia. The school, as one of the smallest of the nation's top law schools, boasts a 8:1 student to faculty ratio. Third-year students are required to gain real-world practice experience either through enrollment in one of the school's six legal clinics or participation in an externship.
