Christopher Stagg is the founder and managing attorney of Stagg & Associates, P.C. where he focuses his practice on business formation, business and corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance for a diverse range of startup and existing companies.
Mr. Stagg provides clients with effective solutions to critical legal matters, which includes identifying underlying antitrust, bankruptcy, environmental, financing, regulatory, securities and taxation issues.
Mr. Stagg's previous private sector legal experience includes placement with a twenty-member law firm focusing on business law and taxation, a boutique aviation and regulatory law firm, and the corporate legal department of a major U.S. transportation company. His public service legal experiences includes placement at the U.S. Department of Justice (Aviation & Admiralty Section) and the U.S. Attorney's Office (Civil Division).
Prior to a legal career, Mr. Stagg worked on foreign policy, national security and international defense issues. In particular, he reported on the aerospace and defense industries for Jane's Defence Weekly, a leading international defense publication, and contributed to Jane’s Chem-Bio Web on U.S. homeland security developments.
In addition, Mr. Stagg worked for two Washington, D.C. organizations on national defense and foreign policy issues, as well as for a leading international consulting firm involving aerospace, defense, energy and telecommunications. He also possesses ten years of experience in IT, where he provided technology consulting to aviation and software companies and investors.
Mr. Stagg earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and a bachelor's degree magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from George Washington University. He also studied English law at the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom and Japanese at the Yamasa Institute in Japan.
