Mark C. Fava is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP practicing aviation law and land use matters. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Fava served as an elected member of his local municipality’s government until he relocated to Atlanta for three years where he worked as the chief operations attorney for Delta Air Lines, Inc., during and after 9/11. Mr. Fava’s broad aviation practice includes litigation and regulatory law. Currently, his clients include air taxis, air carriers, aircraft manufacturers, fixed based operators, and fractional ownership organizations. In his land use practice, Mr. Fava handles complex zoning matters. He has successfully represented national clients before planning commissions, elected bodies, and architectural review boards. His practice includes representing developers in negotiations of detailed development agreements with municipalities. Further, utilizing his extensive aviation experience, he has specifically advised clients in airport development and zoning matters.

Mr. Fava holds the rank of captain in the United States Navy Reserve. He has accumulated more than 3300 flight hours as a Naval Flight Officer in the P-3 Orion and is the former commanding officer of a Navy aviation squadron in Jacksonville, Fla. Ms. Keckler has practiced immigration law exclusively since embarking on her legal career. She has considerable experience in a wide array of immigration matters, including deportation defense (cancellation of removal, 212(c) and 212(h) waivers for crimes, de novo TPS claims, and bond hearings), family-based immigration (adjustment of status and consular processing), visas for immigrant survivors of domestic violence and victims of crimes, waivers (for fraud, crimes, health-related bars and prior deportations), citizenship and naturalization, nonimmigrant ("temporary") visas, asylum, NACARA, and humanitarian relief (temporary protected status and parole). She has also studied abroad in Toledo, Spain. During law school, Ms. Keckler pursued her interest in immigration law by working for a prominent employment-based immigration law firm and a non-profit organization providing legal assistance to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in southwest Michigan.

After law school, Ms. Keckler began her legal career in the immigration field by working at a busy immigration law firm in Miami, Florida in 2006. In 2007, she joined an immigration law firm in Dallas, Texas where she helped to expand and develop the firm's practice. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Michael G. Matthews in April 2009, Ms. Keckler worked as a solo attorney at a new office in Chicago, Illinois for that firm.
