Stephanie K. Burnham opened her own law firm upon being sworn into the practice of law in 2001. In 2010, Attorney Burnham added two talented attorneys to form Burnham & Associates. Attorney Burnham has focused her practice in four primary areas: Wills, Trusts and Estates; Bankruptcy; Small Business; and Real Estate. Attorney Burnham assists people from all walks of life with their last wills and testaments, trusts, trust administration, estate administration, adult guardianships and powers of attorney. Attorney Burnham works with clients to obtain a fresh start through discharging debts in Bankruptcy. She also advises clients with small businesses on contracts, contract disputes, business formation and collections. Attorney Burnham was a licensed Real Estate Broker, and she uses her experience to help clients develop property, with condominium and subdivision filings including attorney general filings, condominium conversions, title work and the purchase and sale of property. She is licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, including New Hampshire District Court and Massachusetts District Court.
Attorney Burnham is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, including the Elder Law, Estate Planning & Probate Section and the New Hampshire Bar Associations Ethics Committee. Attorney Burnham is a member of the Wentworth Douglass Hospital and Health Foundation Planned Giving Advisory Council, for which she can advise clients on more appropriately titling and structuring their charitable gifts to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Attorney Burnham is an Arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau, where she decides Lemon Law claims and a Member of the Rotary Club of Dover. She has authored and published many informative articles on Elder Law, Estate Planning and Medicaid in the Senior Beacon newspaper publication. She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in General Biology from the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Attorney Burnham is also a licensed Real Estate Broker, a Notary Public and a Justice of the Peace.
